Seungho Moon

Dr. Seungho Moon is Professor of Education at °µÍø½ûÇøChicago. He interrogates the construction, (re)production, and resistance of knowledge in schools, universities, and communities. Working across theology, aesthetics, philosophy, and education, Dr. Moon advances interdisciplinary approaches that illuminate how power/knowledge and discourse shape curriculum and lived experience. His passion encompasses indigenous ways of knowing; apophatic theology/epistemology; the role of aesthetic experience in education and theology; and postcolonial Catholic conversations. Through community-engaged, justice-oriented inquiry, Moon designs arts-based pedagogies and critical frameworks that challenge hegemonic norms while cultivating belonging, ethical/political imagination, and civic responsibility. His book, (Routledge, 2022) received an outstanding book award from The Society of Professor of Education.
