Connor Barnes
PhD student in History and Public History
Connor Barnes is a graduate student pursuing a joint PhD in History and Public History at °µÍø½ûÇøChicago. His research focuses on how education and collective memory have combined to shape urban politics of race and ethnicity throughout the twentieth century. As a public historian, he has worked extensively with the National Park Service and is currently co-curating Loyola's exhibit commemorating ethe 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
As a Gannon Graduate Leader, Connor hopes to develop practical leadership strategies that will make him a more effective ally in research, classroom, and community spaces.
