Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The °µÍø½ûÇøChicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for a clinical track faculty position. We are especially interested in faculty engaged in teaching and scholarship focused on medical-surgical nursing. This is a 9-month non-tenure track open rank position for appointment at the clinical assistant professor rank or higher based on the applicant’s education, program of scholarship, and teaching experience.
Within the context of the °µÍø½ûÇøChicago and MNSON missions, visions, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty member will:
- Teach in undergraduate and graduate programs as appropriate to expertise and program needs; these positions will have primary responsibilities in the pre-licensure nursing programs.
- Employ a variety of teaching/learning strategies in classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings.
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation.
- Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education.

Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Simulation Pedagogy
The °µÍø½ûÇøChicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for a clinical track faculty position focused on teaching, curricular development, and integration of simulation pedagogy. This is a 12-month non-tenure track open rank position for appointment at the clinical assistant professor rank or higher based on the applicant’s education, program of scholarship, and teaching experience.
Within the context of the °µÍø½ûÇøChicago and MNSON missions, visions, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty member will:
- Use high, medium, and low-fidelity simulation modalities to provide high-quality learning experiences to pre-licensure and advanced practice nursing students. Primary responsibilities include developing, organizing, facilitating, and evaluating simulation learning experiences and programs.
- Collaborate with faculty on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation.

Director of the Family Nurse Practitioner with Emergency Specialty Track of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program (Clinical Assistant Professor or higher)
The °µÍø½ûÇøChicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for a clinical track faculty position focused on oversight of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program's Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with Emergency Specialty Track. This is a non-tenure track open rank position for appointment at the clinical assistant rank or higher based on the applicant’s program of scholarship and teaching experience. The role includes a 30% administrative and 70% teaching/scholarship/service position with 9-month faculty teaching responsibilities and a 12-month administrative contract.

Director of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Track of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program (Clinical Assistant Professor or higher)
The °µÍø½ûÇøChicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) invites applications for a clinical track faculty position focused on oversight of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Track. This is a non-tenure track open rank position for appointment at the clinical assistant rank or higher based on the applicant’s program of scholarship and teaching experience. The role includes a 20% administrative and 80% teaching/scholarship/service position with 9-month faculty teaching responsibilities and a 12-month administrative contract.

Seeking part-time clinical instructors to teach pre-licensure BSN and ABSN students in the clinical settings of Pediatric, Obstetrical, Psychiatric/Mental Health, Medical-Surgical and Community Health Nursing.
STAFF OPPORTUNITIES
Clinical Placements Coordinator
The Clinical Placements Coordinator is a member of the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON) Clinical Placement Team, which secures and coordinates clinical experiences and manages onboarding for students and clinical instructors across all clinical courses. The Coordinator oversees a portfolio of clinical partnerships and students within one or more MNSON program tracks, including the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice–Nurse Practitioner programs. The Coordinator collaborates with program track directors, faculty, and MNSON leadership to support clinical education initiatives within the assigned portfolio.
This position may be based at either the Lake Shore or Health Sciences campus and requires occasional travel between campuses and partner sites.
Senior Academic Advisor
The Senior Academic Advisor supports the academic, administrative, and developmental needs of assigned students in the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (MNSON), guiding them toward timely graduation while integrating career and post-graduate goals into academic planning. This role advances the missions of the University and MNSON and leads administrative initiatives that support academic advising and student affairs, including the training and development of Academic Advisors.
Senior Enrollment Specialist
The Senior Enrollment Specialist serves as an integral member of the enrollment and student affairs team responsible for recruiting, engaging, and supporting prospective Master of Nursing (MN) students throughout the admissions and enrollment process. Working closely with academic leadership, faculty, advisors, Graduate and Professional Enrollment Management (GPEM), and other university partners, this role ensures a seamless, student-centered enrollment experience while contributing to recruitment, communication, and enrollment management strategies that support application, admission, yield, and enrollment goals for the MN program.
Simulation Specialist
The Center for Simulation Education Simulation Specialist administers all lab simulations; oversees the implementation and integration of all new technologies, software, and equipment; and provides technical support for all simulation operations including the preparation, maintenance and repair of computerized manikins (software and hardware), task trainers, and related multimedia peripherals. In addition, the Simulation Specialist is also responsible for assisting with data collection, data entry, and management of records, as it relates to research activities.
